Leather FURNITURE CARE GUIDE
Basic tips for cleaning and maintaining leather furniture
Leather furniture may cost more than fabric furniture, however, leather is more durable and lasts longer. Leather sectionals and sofa sets have long inhabited the living rooms of many homes. With proper care, our contemporary and modern leather sofas can last 10 to 15 years.
ITEMS YOU WILL NEED
1) soft cloths
3) leather conditioner
- WIPE: Simply wipe your leather sofa with a clean, soft, dry cloth on a regular basis.
- VACUUM: Remove any dust, debris or crumbs that have built up between crevices and underneath cushions.
- ATTEND TO SPILLS: Use a dry cloth or sponge to absorb the spill. After absorbing as much of the spill as possible, use another dry cloth to wipe the area completely dry.
DO NOT wipe or rub the spill and only use a moistened cloth if absolutely necessary.
- CONDITION: Apply a leather conditioner every 3 to 6 months to keep the leather from cracking and stretching beyond normal wear and aging.
DO NOT use detergents, bleach, furniture polish, all-purpose cleaning sprays or any other cleaning products with chemicals that are not meant for leather.
