The color is not black more cocoa. There are 4 inserts /pieces in the middle that are part of extension, which makes the table look a little cheap or disjointed. It also came damaged.
Otherwise, it would be a nice solid table. -
The color appears to be more brown than black.
The veneer is thin.
I like the look and style of the table.
