Beautiful. I searched for so long to find the perfect piece of furniture to sit my record player on. I chose this because I thought I may be able to remove the shelves to store my albums beneath. I cannot remove the shelves, but I was able to pull one up and push it to the back to make room for my albums. This is a piece of beautiful solid wood and it will be with me for a very, very long time. It's sturdy and beautifully made. Don't hesitate to purchase, the quality is astounding awesome for the price
